He may be a laughable character and all that, but the press certainly didn't treat him that way. Predicting another company's demise is damaging. Period. No matter who you are, let alone the CEO of a successful Internet company. I guess he felt sheltered by the forward-looking statements provision. Every once and a while someone says something so completely over-the-top that you just roll your eyes, because you see it in emotional context.
