OT. T2, since this is a quiet night, you may wish to take a look at the Canadian Venture Exchange, and particularly, EMY, MBM and HGP, traded thereon. You can check them at stockhouse.com.

As you probably know, the Canadian Venture Exchange is a hot bed for technology issues.

Let me know what you think.

Incidentally, I picked up some more ETEK today.

Tec.

t2:
I use to trade MSFT along with INTC... for years. And, MSFT does seem to be a good buy right now. Usually say that it's always good to have a little MSFT, INTC, and CSCO and never to underestimate them. But, instead, for the past year, I left those (and DELL) and road the QCOM train, and kept adding to JDSU, even if I'm heavily weighted in it, or one of the other high-fliers. I've also been adding CREE on dips the past 3 weeks. I just can't find a reason not to keep buying JDSU other than the old rule of not putting all your eggs in one basket. It is quiet on here tonight.

Rick

Re: MSFT...........I traded MSFT extensively last year and sold my last position at ~111 in early January. I lurked quite a bit on the MSFT thread during the periods I held the stock and appreciated yours and Teflon's, among a couple of others', commentary. I have been interested in getting back in but am concerned with the DOJ thing and do not want to end up "swimming uphill", so to speak. I realize the stock has been beaten up, but do you think it is at its bottom?? Worse case scenario...if DOJ pushes for some kind of break up, where do you think the price ends up?? If this is too much discussion for this thread, please PM. FWIW, I am long JDSU.

Many thanks for your input & insight.

Hi T2,

most undervalued stock on the market is MSFT, with intel a close second...

1- They are both investment companies now... Mountains of cash

2- Mountains of PROFITS, not hype....

3- very undervalued, MSFT more than Intel

4- Worst case, if MSFT broken up, we get 3-4 excellent companies, that can move on Unix, Linux etc etc.
Eespecially the Online properties spinoff...

A good investment, but panic could set in if the stupid DOJ gets it way... temporarily..

Take care
Good idea of a discussion
