James, much as I would love your fantasy to come true, I think there's virtually no chance. MSFT's investments are in other SW company's are almost never made in pure application development company's. They typically invest in company's developing new technology or enhancing their technology. Lastly, I find it hard to imagine they would have any interest in an application developer that's in such a relatively small niche and one not known for being on the front end of the technology curve.

If you are looking for a takeover or an investment there are probably much more likely choices out there...AutoCad for example.
