In my mind Wave will become a classic study case one day in "how To build a billion dollar company" lectures of MBA schools. The main lesson? How to manage your intellectual property and sell it off (in the form of mind share)in little bits in exchange for real world benefits.

Even to sceptical Wall Street analysts $122 million must a huge "income" for a company with no revenues. The market seems to recognise what Wave is doing, giving it a "price/earnings" ratio of about 25-40 after last year's $22 million private placement. At Wave's current price of just over $40 that $122 million would give a "price/earnings" of under 15.

Cheers

Paul
