Merced runs 32 bit applications in emulation mode.

I stand corrected. I guess a better description would be that it does not use it's main core, but a secondary IA32 core.

Merced contains a complete IA32 CPU in hardware, sharing logic resources with the IA64 where feasible.

Hmm.. 386?

Let's see how it performs compared to Celeron.
