Steve, re:post 1386ALA is in the right place, at the right time, with the right products and ought to experience growth that exceeds it's US
counterparts over the next 5-10 years anyway.

Looks as if we both thinks the same way. As you may know I have been holding NN for long time and know quite a bit about this company.
There is no question that ALA/NN will rule the xDSL,LMDS and ATM.
Someone has to look at ALA position in ADSL and NN 3dsl.
NN ha already won several multi hundreds million $ wins for
its xDSL(350 access switch, which is also part of LMDS) (Kingstom Comm., New Edge, ATT Canada) and more to come soon.......
Nortel few months ago agree to acquire start-up which claim to have xDSL superior to ALA and similar to NN's 3dsl.
Well, this start-up has just few 10-20 million trials according to CC when deal was announced.
On LMDS front NN has announced officily more contracts then
NT,ERICY,CSCO/MOT combined.Assuming that everybody is doing its PR(and NN is probably the worst) this should tell us who has wining core LMDS solution:800 million Cd with MaxLink of Canada(NT lost), 350 million US with Toshiba,Bell South Int.,Korean Telecom, British Telecom of Belguim and many smaller.

I would not be surprise...... if within next couple month
NN will get monster contract with NexLink, the biggest US holder of LMDS license.

Last week wireless show brought several LMDS announcements, including contracts.

BTW,LMDS is not just 36170 core ATM switch. It is also 350 access switch.
There is not doubt that NN LMDS and ALA LMDS will have absolute dominant position. The same can be said about xDSL.
Now, when NN is part of large company many large customers will be aggressively ordering old and new ATM platforms from NN, knowing that they have sufficient support of engineering stuff.
NN 670 RSP is the only one which delivers OC-192 and OC-768 is coming soon.....

Bob Howard, look at ERICY when it was in penalty box(1998-mid 1999)
It was 30 at summer of 1999, now over 100 within 6-7 months!!!
Close your eyes and by mid June ( after ALA Q2 and most likely!!! NN independent Q4 report) you will be very pleased with the price of your shares, not mentioning the end of 2000 and beyond.

Zbyslaw
