Chuckles - Re: "Yesterday you were so sure how Intel has captured the MHz lead. Within 24 hours, your 1G dreams petered out to "limited-edition" CuMines. "

Not-So Limited Editions! 1 GHz Coppemines are out there - IN PRODUCTION - IN Dell and IN IBM and IN HP Computers - and AMD was caught flat footed.

Intel HAS Regained the MHz lead - although even at a lower MHz, Intel's Coppermine has CONSISTENTLY and INDEPNDENTLY been shown to be faster than AthWipeys running at a higher clock speed.

Re: "Now you are hoping for a miracle MHz lead with "new mask set" - talk about "Hope springs eternal!""

Nope - Intel already has the lead. The "New Mask Set" is just another development that will KEEP INTEL in the forefront.

Re: "Care to guess what AMD has cooking for the same time frame as the "new mask set"?"

I can't imagine - so I'll let you tell me.
