Scott, you are a remarkable cheerleader.

We could have used you last year when the marketcap of
Ariad was less than the scrap value of the genomics
center.

I emailed Squawk just now, let us see if Berger is given
any good questions. If he at all challenged, and holds
up well--then I wish you Godspeed to your hundred dollar
shareprice. After all, if the past five years had gone
just slightly differently, Ariad would be looking down
at Tularik and not up at big brother.

In the interest of full disclosure, I wouldn't be posting
right now if I hadn't given up tens of thousands of
warrants at a buck or three. And I wouldn't be so bitter
if I'd not been stopped out of those 30k shares at fifty
cents.

It is probably bad Karma to resent the success of the
best biotech momentum play of the year. And it was even
one of my picks in the biotech contest here on SI:

What is the point to my comments this morning? I guess it
is like mountain climbing--you do it just because it is
there. Also, there is something particularly distasteful
about Yahooligans raking it in off momentum--it just
invites criticism.

Postscript...
This may be the best chance I get to solicit opinion of my
current stock portfolio--I'll bet that scores of people
read this post today. So here we go:

AVENTIS --bought recently around $22 big biotech/big pharma
BURLINGTON NORTHERN --cost ~$20 pricy gas, strong economy,
a great business, a smart merger with Canadian
CISTRON BIOTECH a speculation that it is worth more...
CAMBRIDGE NEUROSCI --should not be on the otcbb, value
ELAN CORP --too many reasons
GENSET --shares are paid for many times over, what is
Corixa having them sequence I wonder???
GLIATECH --squeeze and it is cheap and relatively safe
GENZYME MOLECULAR --cancer vaccines, SAGE
CADUS PHARM --The MIT living chip
SYNAPTIC PHARM --nobody cares, probably cheap
WASHINGTON MUTUAL --bought recently at $22, value
