billwot. I listened to Labor Secretary Herman? this morning. She does not think we have a labor shortage. We have a skilled labor shortage and she thinks something should be done about that. She thinks business should get more involved on that end. And then there are all those part time workers who would like to work full time. Some things prevent them from it, like child care etc.

But we know it's cheaper to import workers, so let's see what comes out of it. Maybe they should give cos. some tax breaks on educating OUR work force instead of just giving breaks to cos. for imported help. This could be an incentive then. But our GVT works in mysterious ways at times. gg.

Congress passed a bill to allow Soc.Sec. retirees between the age of 65 and 69 to reenter the job market without having their Soc.Sec.benefits offset by 1 dollar for every 3 dollars earned. Most of those workers have the needed skills already. She did not want to go there when asked about it. I would not think that Clinton would veto this. Every Republican and Democrat in the House passed that bill. Anyhow, that should put more workers back into the work force. Ms. Herman pounded more on educating the available work force that is not up to the job skills required today, which is alright. Anyhow. This employment number and hourly wage increase should put the FED at ease. But who knows what the FED will do.

You were right. The market is going gang busters.

Here is an article on those shootings. How horrible. What a way to air your anger when somethings does not go your way. Sheesh. What was it? About an apartment door?
