Hey guys, the stock split new sounds great. I find the press release confusing in that they are announcing a 2-1 split and ALSO 'increase its authorized common stock to 160 million shares from 80 million'. The press release from Yahoo! which I posted below suggests they are mutually exclusive events. Furthermore,

"After the split, which must be approved by shareholders, the company said it will have 57.1 million common shares outstanding."

Huh? If we are going to have 57.1 million shares AFTER the split, what will be the impact of increasing the common stock from 80 to 160? Will our shares be diluted? Any insight anyone might be able to provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
