It's not the stand that's hereditary, Gracey. It's the sucking up to neoconservative political theologians. I'm well aware of Sr.'s bouncing around on the issue. Did you know GHWB used to be known as "Rubbers" when he was in Congress? He was, at one time, big on family planning.

Anyway, Sr. has to answer for "the best man for the job", and W's got to explain why, exactly, we shouldn't expect more of the same from him. In the absence of any straight talk on the issue, and I very much doubt there'll be any straight talk on the issue from W, I think it's safe to assume another Clarence Thomas appointment or 2, if W's elected. And that's all that is needed to put Roe on the scrapheap.

If you want, you can take up the "state's rights" line with Neocon, I put it in the same class as the state's rights line on slavery. Then there's the Republican cry to "get government off people's backs" Oops, they don't mean STATE government, that's a different thing entirely. Whatever.
