<EMC is a big, "safe" stock..money pouring into momentum...>

Certainly doesn't seem to apply today to Micosoft, Dell, Oracle, etc...IMO, this is EMC-specific....something is up....either there is concern about the quarter, or the DG acquisition, or linguring doubts (remember the last CC....revenues/earnings growth concerns in the core business...Mr. Ruettgers can help the cause by coming out now, soon and giving the OK on the quarter....or getting some analyst to do it (for him)..

I hope you are correct about money flowing from momo stocks...to big cap techs (during a correction)....Could happen, but I don't think it is a given...Just as likely, all tech could get slammed...

If we ended trading right now, Naz would be up 20% for the year, EMC 6%....that is lagging.......to me, that indicates some worry, somewhere about the stock.....there is not sponsership right now...perhaps fund managers are maxed out on the stock....that would not be good........the worry may be legitimate, or it may not be...but it appears to exist..otherwise, why would a gorilla, with (supposedly) so much dominance, like EMC....not perform better.....like Cisco has (up 22%+)..??

I would like to see EMC's management attack the source of the worry, similiar to what they did last year (after the DG acquisition was announced, and after the "nuclear winter" situation...and there were some concerns)...

Sun & EMC has similiar growth rates...Sun performing much better for many months...
