In this day and age you would think a solution could be found. Anything besides complete abolishment of guns will not work and even that would not work. How will registering, which I think is a good idea, keep guns out of criminal hands? They can be stolen. Batteries? Backup batteries? Can't be worse than safety locks when you need it in a hurry. I guess you would have to take care of not having the battery run out. Just like in a smoke detector. A Hamburger less a week should do it. And I don't even eat those. If you have a sensor gun for protection, I guess you each need a gun. At least a child will not be able to get their hands on it and that has to be a priority right now. What are they doing in Kosovo? Sweeping households looking for guns? I am not sure how all this will end. The Genie is out of the bottle when it comes to guns. Most of our children grew up with guns and murder on TV everyday and it looks all so glorified. That's one violence WE did not see every day. Some can handle it and some can't. A lot of children practically raise themselves today and keeping track of what they are watching does not seem to be in the cards. In the end a lot of it has to come home to roost. Safety locks alone will not prevent violence, I guess.

Look at politics. Even McCain glorifies TV shows with violence. He is being shot at from the left and the right and has to defend himself from the evil empire.

And he says he does not go to his childrens school functions anymore because a teacher mistook him for a grandfather. Is that the childrens fault? He may have said it in fun but it does not sound too good. Children, and what they do, should be your first priority.

Gerald. Ot. Ot.

Are you still voting for McCain? I am beginning to think he is losing his marbles. He really believes he is Luke Skywalker. He now calls the GOV. of NY comrade.

He did vote against a bill that had breast cancer research attached to it. It was a defense budget bill. Republicans wanted a sep. breast cancer research bill so they would not have to wait for NIH or whoever doles research money out.

The survival of the Republican Party depends on Mc Cain. Sheesh. Def. not egotistical.
