8,000,000 share volume on Wednesday.

My wife (a Janus customer) tells me that some new Janus fund - Special Technologies (or similar) just opened Wednesday and indicated it would take large interest in AAPL. Apparently it had $1B to begin investing on Wednesday. Any of you that follow Janus or block volume trades able to confirm or deny any of this?

<< AMD's 1GHz Athlon arrives this month - official>>

Could this be the fall of "Chipzilla"?

If they rush to put out an "in progress" product just to keep up, they wil either:

1) Turn out a buggy, faulty product destined for recalls.

2) Incurr extremely high production and overtime costs to cram 'em out. Resulting in lower quarterly profits.

3) Simply capitulate to AMD. Lose the battle, try to catch up and win the war before someone strikes a deathblow.
