Tench,

Re:"AMD management loss"

Well i think Atiq will be missed.

Vinod will not be and was not missed.

As far as dana seemed like a real lightweight to me.

Rob Herb was interviewed recently ans was MOST proffessional.

With Robs promotion I suspect Dana had nowhere to go within AMD.

Not a great loss IMHO.

regards,

Kash

Re: "So when I bring up my legitimate question regarding the people that AMD is losing"

Tench,

The only observation that I can offer wrt people leaving AMD is this. Every time a key employee leaves certain people on this thread warn of the impending sinking of the good ship AMD. You know, rats off a sinking ship.

However, since the resignation of Raza and the others AMD has forged ahead just fine without them. AMD has not sunk and it's performance as a company as well as it's stock price have improved dramatically.

So much for the rat's jumping off a sinking ship theory.

So when I bring up my legitimate question regarding the people that AMD is losing, I'm looking for real answers, not degrading comments like "Your concern mocks our intelligence."

Tenchusatsu,

When I heard about Dana Krelle leaving AMD, I didn't think twice about it......like I said before, AMD is a big organization and people come and go.

Then I see your post in which you go all the way back to Raza nearly a year ago, speculating as to whether there is a problem or not. You state in your post {and I am paraphrasing} things are going well at AMD, why are these people leaving.

First how can there be an intelligent conversation re this
subject; none of us, to my knowledge, work for human resources at AMD. So the best we can do is wildly speculate; for what purpose I don't know.

Secondly there have been innumerable articles re how people move from job to job in the SV and that startups are stealing employees from more seasoned companies like AMD and Intc. You are in the industry so I can't imagine that you do not know this.

So I have to conclude, due to your bias, you are baiting....a time honored sport on this thread; both AMD and Intc longs do it. Fine!

My only point is that don't be surprised at the response to your baiting. Your post at the end is the equivalent of one kid telling another kid I am going to hit you but don't hit me back 'cause I really don't mean it. I bet the kid getting hit isn't buying into that kind of a setup and neither am I.

I hope you can understand the reason for that kind of reaction. If you don't get it, I'm sorry.
