OT Question
I'm going to try locking in the value in some of my portfolio holdings. I'm comfortable committing to a sale now but am staring at short term capital gains on the profits for at least two or three more months. How would I go about selling covered calls to harvest a little cash and hold the shares until they go long term? In the remote past I bought a few options--but I've never written any. Can someone of you more astute investors point me to an online reference. I use Schwab but generally execute trades on line and never talk to anyone there. Thanks in advance, Mike
