Joe, actually Intel's current stance is for Rambus in desktops and workstations, and DDR SDRAM in servers. There are many advantages to having Rambus on the desktop, and the only thing holding it back right now is the high price of RIMMs. The story is different, however, when it comes to servers, and here at least, customers are demanding DDR over RDRAM.
