I think there is something to that theory but I don't worry about it much. I read recently that for every 1% decline in the cost of fiberoptics there is a 2.5% increase in demand (Red Herring, March, 2000). That is going to drive a lot of business. However, those of us who are buying stocks based on the gold miner pick and shovel theory realize that every market gets satiated at some point, including the internet infrastructure market. That is a long way off. Ken
