The company?s plans include rolling out more content-driven portals, starting an incubation facility for the dot com start ups and rolling out the ISP services to more and more cities. Net 4 India is also planing a foray into the UK market by launching its UK arm and providing with services like dial up ISP service, network hosting services and Web hoisting services. According to sources, a major part of the fund for the expansion is expected to come from outside agencies, including venture capital funds and financial institutions. "Only a minority of the funding is going to come from internal accruals. The company will invest about Rs 4 to Rs 5 crore for the expansion of the company?s activities," said Jasjit S Sawhney, CEO. The company is also looking for acquisitions for the Internet portal business. "Acquisitions are a key to our strategy for building the content for our up coming portals," Sawhney said. In addition to this, the company will partner with various content generating companies. Besides, the company is also planing a whole array of alliances with content-generating companies for content-sharing arrangements. The company has allocated about Rs 2 crore for its incubation facility for the dot com start ups. As per the plans of the company, it will acquire stakes in the companies for the services it will offer. The company offers various services like website designing, hoisting application development etc. The company will also help the emerging dot com companies to groom their business plans under the umbrella of the Net 4 India for equity. As part of this program, the company will offer the necessary business consultancy, planing the business areas and execution of business strategy. The company, which currently offers its ISP services in New Delhi, will roll out its services in other Indian cities too. However, the company still continues to focus on the home and small and medium scale enterprises for its ISP service in India. Net 4 India is part of the UK-based Sawhney group of companies and started the Internet service in India in December last year.
