just how small a "part

I'll never know. My Grandfather, who did know, came from a generation that refused to discuss such matters. You got to understand in the 1800's, when my Grandfather was born, Cherokees in Tennessee had a serious problem.

I'd be a little careful about Armenia. They've been angry since 1915.

That's the half I take to Cuba with me. The Irish Catholic half is not allowed to go.

Polvie, ROTPLMAO............My pups(Kissie and Mike) are looking at me laughing, with their heads turned sideways as if to say "Whats so funny?". I told them it was only their Uncle Polvie being funny, they both send a smile to you.

Jim Willie and Dealer have been wreaking havoc in the Sunshine state.........I saw them on Headline News last night, something about a new blue BMW at high speeds etc., etc. I had to turn it off to start trying to arrange bail for them. Wish I was there.

As for me, I'm half everything. Kissie and Mike, 100% Austrailian.

Hey polvie,

I imagine you have quite an imagination. I like the fact that our porch is so diverse. The broad horizons this thread offers is what makes this unique, unlike any thread I visit. I am impressed by the tolerance for the wide variety of discussion & banter. Even though I may not have time to contribute as I would like, I make the trip to the porch daily. I just have to ;-)

FWIW, I do fall squarely into the multi-cultural end of the spectrum. I'm a full fledged mutt; a Heinz 57 variety & proud of it.

Thanks for the smile your post gave me ;-)

re: Cherokeeness....

I was actually born on a Cherokee reservation east of Tulsa, all four great grandparents were Cherokee sharecroppers, and all were dead by their early thirties. My grandmother still denies she is Cherokee, as someone else said, that was not a good thing to be when she grew up.

My Mom remarried when I was two and we moved to Seattle where I grew up, and was that ever a lucky stroke.....that is re-enforced every time I return to visit. I am a lucky guy. It is still another world down there. Very sad.

You live in one of my favorite places....I love New Mexico, I may be a neighbor someday not too far off.
