Pan American Crossing - Connecting North, Central and South America

The Global Crossing Network seamlessly interconnects major cities worldwide in a continuous network of state-of-the-art undersea and terrestrial fiber optic systems. Pan-American Crossing (PAC) is a two-fiber-pair system linking the continental United States, Mexico, Central and South America, and the Caribbean. Service to California, Mexico, Panama, and St. Croix is scheduled for 1st Quarter 2000, with Venezuela scheduled for 2nd Quarter 2000. PAC will use advanced wave-length division multiplexing technology to provide 20 Gbps initial capacity.

PAC will be fully integrated with the entire Global Crossing Network.
