You've got plenty of company, but I think that freezing the high end (at this time) hurts Intel much more than AMD.

Maybe.....but both are about to lose a lot of revenue due to their releasing speed grades too quickly. And once they get on "this fast track" of releases, how do they get back off?

The consumer will come to expect increases in speed grades every 6 mos as opposed to the current 18-24 mos.

A bad precedent has been set in my opinion. When competitive forces get out of control, good things usually do not result.
