GW had no need to promise Robertson anything and I doubt he even considered it. What other choice does Robertson have? McCain? Not a chance. Buchanan? Why back a loser who can only help Gore in November?

It is NOT reasonable to assume Bush promised Robertson anything, in fact it is UNREASONABLE to assume such.

You are at liberty to infer whatever you wish. I do not infer that he made "promises". I do suppose that he made representation about his positions on various issues. There is a vast difference......
