Oh!Puuuuulleees.

I can hardly TURN ON an entertainment device without enjoying American content on all one hundred channels,or visit a mag. rack without 90% American publications. Now I wonder how many Americans can turn on their sets and say the same about foreign content.Maybe if they did they may become more familiar with the world around them,as opposed to how it is depicted through the eyes of Hollywood or Washington. The net will change all of this anyway,so I don?t think there is concern for alarm.

But I do not agree with the policy and I believe the majority of Canadians concure.Unfortunately, you?re American Press choose to depict it as a barrier against Disney style programming.Nothing could be further from the truth.I believe the intent was to discourage the percentage of violence that America appears to be obsessed with,as well as assist Canadian productions through advertising revenues that are overwhelmed by your economy of scale.America has chosen to use this VERY MINOR interdiction as a sticking point in a Muti-Billion Dollar trade agreement.Nit Picking!

RRSPs Will change too..they all ready have.Actually, few know that you CAN use ALL foreign content, but you suffer a small penalty because you have taken advantage of the tax incentive to invest in Canadian Instruments.Shhhhh! <g>I see no problem in encouraging investment at home.Do You?But again, I personally don't agree with it,but Canadians can invest however much they want abroad, they just don't receive the TAX benefits of investing at home. Are the 401s the same?

As far Gold is concerned,I believe ANY country should be allowed to manage it's reserves as it feels fit.I do not however think they should go about adding or subtracting Gold to/from their reserves in such a manner that undermines or causes undue pressure in the market.Canada has sold it's reserves over a period of YEARS through careful dishoarding, unlike Australia who did so in such a way as to cause PANIC in the market or the Brits who have exposed themselves as total DYNOS by going the route that if they can suppress gold long enough though these embarrassing auctions, they will have fulfilled the notion that Gold is a poor reserve asset.Don't cha git it Bob?Self fulfilling prophesies!

There are likely other reasons for the Canadian dishoarding ,but if I told ya...I'd have ta kill ya.National Security,EH?:-)

Take care.

Outa Here Soon.

GO TECK!!
