qcom sells very profitable asics to qpe. if they want more money then they sell more asics. you must make more phones to sell more asics. so what if you don't have a buyers for the phones ;-)

of course, this is just speculation. it could be that qcom drastically overestimated demand for their phones and were wrong (what else could they be wrong about? ;-)

whatever way it happened, qcom made a lot of money selling asics to qpe when the phones containing said asics didn't make it to a customer.
