Kind of makes me wonder what the standard of judgement is here. Some people on the AMD thread think that PriceWatch.com relates directly to speed bins, despite the fact that the "grey market" provides only part of the picture.

I predict Intel will ship more 1 GHz Pentium III's than AMD in the next three months. But AMD will probably have their GHz processor hit PriceWatch first, and everyone on the AMD thread will claim victory.

Oh well. This race to 1 GHz is all about hype anyway, much like a typical presidential campaign. As someone else mentioned, it's all about the perception of reality, rather than reality itself.
