WASHINGTON (CBS.MW) -- Bill Gates filed to sell another 300,000
common shares of Microsoft, a sale valued at $28.65 million in the open
market, according to regulatory filings that the Securities and Exchange
Commission released Friday.

The sale, which was planned for Feb. 24, according to the Form 144, is
the fourth for Gates since Feb. 22. Gates has sold 1.1 million shares,
valued at $106.9 million, in recent days, not including the planned sale
reported Friday.

Shares of the
Seattle-based software
giant (MSFT: news,

the Friday session after
the company said sales
of its new Windows
2000 operating system
have been better than
expected.
