Monthly recap of Top 25 Stocks for 2000 portfolio:

siliconinvestor.com

Well, we had a stellar February, once again kicking the behinds of probably 95% of mutual funds and ripping apart all the indexes. In January our portfolio scored menial gains of under 5%, but we still outperformed the general market by about 2:1 as January was a tough month for all. Our portfolio is up 36% YTD.

In addition, unlike a fund manager, I have the limitation (set upon myself for fairness), to not be able to make changes until the end of each quarter. Had I been able to make changes I surely would have dumped our dogs like ASDS and replaced them with some of my favorite biotech stocks like IMCL or AVAN. Nevertheless, we will have this chance in the end of March...

Here are the Year to Date figures up until yesterday (all figures rounded to most favorable whole number):

Top 25 Portfolio: + 36%
Nasdaq Composite: + 19%
S&P500: -4%
Amerindo Tech Fund: +10%
Janus Global Technology: 31% (yikes, they ain't bad!)

Our top 5 gainers Year to Date are:

AETH: 247% (same top winner as last month)
WFII: 176%
CRDS: 89%
ARBA: 72%
NTPL: 68%

Our bottom 5 losers are:

ASDS: -57% (same dog as last month)
ICGE: -35%
CLIC: -22%
OPTO: -21%
PFSW: -11%
