My past and present reflections. When I started day trading, I'd always wished that threads such as the ones established by "the chief" and Ed were widely available on SI. I gather it was never meant to be .............. needless to say I wouldn't have to learn day trading through choking on my " own blood ". :-) These days I don't day trade that much, taking pleasure in relaxation, hobbies, family, longer term investments. On occasion I do check two of my favorite threads which I've mentioned above. Purely to amuse myself as to how easy it is to make money these days..... in "Ed's momo puppies " thread case, to get entertained, have some sincere laughs .......... since some of you guys are hilarious. :-) This past weekend I could not stop myself from posting on this thread. Some of my observations ; First of all, I will not accept an argument that neither Ed nor regular participants on this thread own it, therefore anyone else ....lurkers, non contributors etc. are lower class- investment- citizens. Once someone makes a decision to establish a public- investment- thread, " class " structure has to be disregarded. I don't remotely exercise the notion that I am a lesser " animal " ( just because I did not post here, prior to yesterday ) than someone who contributes daily ?! If one desires to establish a " Private Investment Club ", go deep and go under, PMs come to mind. Who needs a guy with 25- 30 PC monitors bragging how well he have done in the past year ? Who needs a guy who assures everyone that he'll be retired at age 41, which is this year by the way, in mean time telling you that the tech market will have a major melt down in two weeks, on the other hand, encouraging everyone to stop day trading since 75% of day traders lose money. This particular individual, mind ya, is also forcefully implying that all of you should take a long position ( 5-14 days ) in his own picks. Well, sorry, but this is beyond my comprehension. Let me summarize it : 1) Tech market will crash within 1-2 weeks. 2) Day trading sucks ( we are all losers ). 3) Invest in my picks, 2-3 weeks. It will go to $ 20.00 4 ) Tech market will crash within 2-3 weeks. My contacts told me so ! My Lord people. What has happened to this thread ? Individual in question, which by the way IMHO is intoxicated at all times, is definitely not a man of his word since he promised that he'll no longer post on this thread. If I've have ever seen a classless act this one has to win hands down. To Ed: There are many people who look up to you. Since you've established this thread you do have responsibility to separate right from wrong. I'm not about to dictate to anyone what to do, but I do have the right to voice my opinion. Great thread Ed. Please do keep it that way. :-)
