goldsnow,

The OPEC game is not too different from the way the IPO game is played now. Investors will pay 'at the market' prices if there's a low percentage of the total capitalization of stock being sold to the general public and OPEC can sell as little as they like and get respect, to boot. So far, it's been a victimless game.

OPEC, and the world, have seen this played out time and time again for over a year now but OPEC has the ultimate 'road show'. They could probably show investment bankers a trick or two. Why shouldn't they play, too?
