George, you may be right and a while ago the Economist was writing a piece exactly on this issue.

Only by enforcing the securities laws and financial reporting will go a big way in cooling of the markets.

Tech Stocks will be halved at least if they would report true results including stock options as compensation expenses.

I can only assume that those companies contribute to much dollars to the various election campaigns so that no one will touch them

Looks more like Greenspan is focusing on consumer spending and the associated trade imbalance in an effort to prop up the dollar up.
