CHINA-CORRUPTION-ZHU =2 BEIJING

Zhu told the parliament China "must take more effective
measures and make unremitting efforts to fight corruption and
build a clean and honest government."
He also lashed out at wasteful government spending and lax
management.
"Bureaucracy, formalism, falsification and exaggeration are
rampant," he said.
China put the anti-corruption drive in the spotlight on the
eve of the opening of parliament by announcing that a senior
lawmaker, NPC standing committee vice chairman Cheng Kejie, was
under investigation for accepting bribes.
