Interesting articles, thanks for the posting. I dont doubt the ability to manufacture "cultured Diamonds", as stated the technology has been in place for some time. I think another firm on the east coast is involved with synthesis as well, but cant recall the name at the moment other than G.E had some involvement. We have natural pearls, and cultured pearls, why not cultured diamonds. I dont think the mining industry will be threatened by cultured diamonds anytime soon, but is interesting non the less to follow its progress. It may offer an affordable alternative to the Fancy diamonds particularly the "greens" which are cost prohibitive to most people today.
