A more correct interpretation would be from Carl Sagan: "billions and billions of microscopic bits of information, hurtling themselves through the microcosm of the microchip."

Launching the 1 Gig Athlon Monday is extraordinary news indeed. They weren't kidding when they said ramping up the speed was a matter of marketing, not technical issues.

DRBES, Well, now I expect Intel to move theirs up to Monday or even SUnday and then AMD will leap back in time again?
The problem is either one could just announce at this instant and beat the other.
