Well there must be something to it, the Europeans
bought into it. That's the summer of 2001 version.

It does get a bit confusing... from what I understand
there are 3 versions of EV68. The aluminum one
featured at ISSCC due out sooner than the other
2. The copper and copper SOI versions from Samsung.
IBM doing the EV7.

Surely there must be several versions of Itanium in
works prior to McKinley.
