RE: OFF TOPIC to Ciao

Yes I am still in GSM, although not a very large position. I have traded GSM a couple times for profit, but have kept a small core position. Whenever the stock drops below $2 it seems to present a good buying opportunity. I agree with your assessment of management, but the company is profitable (slightly), and if the announce a large contract in these markets, who knows when the price could go? Seems to have had some upward movement last week.

In terms of Vicom, I live in Edmonton so I can comment from some personal dealings as well as my overall thoughts. Vicom was a real flyer in the early '90s, but made a few strategic blunders (not the least significant of which was the failure to understand the impact of the Internet and to address it in their product strategy). They had developed a software app for producing catalogs on CD-ROM that wasn't too bad, but their business model was flawed and they failed to license the product to others. Dan Chugg was the founder and leader and he was responsible for a lot of the decisions that went on. Dan Chugg has now stepped aside and late last year they brought in Gary Meier. Two months later Gary is also gone. Does this tell you something?? I don't want to get into dirt, but I know some guys who used to work there and they have told me about how things were run. Suffice it to say that I will not be putting any of my personal savings into VMI any time soon.

My opinion FWIW.
