Corel 1st-Qtr Revenue Expected to Lag Estimates, Paper Reports
By Sean B. Pasternak

Ottawa, March 3 (Bloomberg) -- Corel Corp.'s fiscal first-
quarter revenue is expected to lag estimates, the National Post
reported, citing analysts and former employees. Since December,
several high-level sales and marketing employees quit or were
fired, which the Post said will hurt the software company's sales.
Analysts expect sales of most of Ottawa-based Corel's line of
software to have sales drops, with the exception of products that
support the Linux operating system, the newspaper said.

In January, Corel had an unexpected fiscal fourth-quarter
profit because it recorded tax gains.
