As some of you know, through PM's, that I have survived and am still around. With a little reorganization, some steadfast rules, and of course a upward moving market, we{my wife}, have seemed to have left many bad habits behind and our profit graph has returned to a steady upward climb, instead of the zigzag days gone by, we still make mistakes, but not as many. We have position traded many larger growth stocks, such as the HML's, CDV, TWE,GLE etc. but we have had some very large gains and taken profits, from a three or four small pennys, a couple we found on our own, and a couple we would not have found if we did not skip over this thread, once in awhile.
I don't want to get involved in the little spat that was on the thread as of late, as everyone has their opinion, but I do think that a person should take responsibility when they buy and sell. It is pretty easy to read a post and push the buy button, but I think it is better to put a lot of your own thought into what you do. I do not post to the day trade threads now, because I am not day trading, as most things I hold for a week or more, with some going longer after taking some off the table. What I do notice, is that many picks that are put on this board, as well as being quick flips, become 2,3,4,5, baggers if held for some time, so not all is bad here. I like to search the net and read the paper, to find the next one to put on my list, but if this thread was not around, I would not likely have picked up the beauties I have. I figure if you get creamed, you gotta take your own blame, just as I got killed on margin a couple of times and tried to find someone to blame, I was the only one I could find, but as well, I think you start to form an opinion in your head of who you think picks the type of stocks you like. Sometimes I do my weekend DD, like on Saturday late at night, when the kids are asleep, and come Monday, I see three or four that I have looked at, on the threads that week, so it can't be all bad.
Thanks for the thread, lots of good ideas, I just figure we have good and bad all over the 'NET', it's buyer beware with anything in life. Thanks to the people who mentioned ICM, BM and COT, two are done deals, and the other is coming along very well. WoW! it's late Goodnight.
I do not know if anyone has read this story, but I found it interesting;
