TLC, I've got some really great A.B. Watley stories for you. This one happened just last week. The conversation went as follows: Me: What's wrong with your QUOTES feed today? ABW: We're not aware of any problem sir. Me: Well I have a traceroute here, and your QUOTES server is unreachable. ABW: I'm not aware of any problem. Me: Could you please check on the status of the QUOTES feed? ABW: Please hold. (...) ABW: Yes, we're currently having problems with our QUOTES feed. Me: You told me that everything was okay when I first called. Now it's not? ABW: Are you calling me a liar? Me: (laughing) No, but I wish you guys would figure out when you have a problem. ABW: Well sir, until you told me I didn't know there was a problem. Me: Okay, I'll be sure to call you guys whenever the QUOTES feed is down just to let you know. ABW: (click) The problem with A.B. Watley is that they are very understaffed and really do not cater to the high volume trader. They have no problem doing a position upload 10 minutes before the open and totally screwing up any positions you might have sold/bought in pre-market trading. I'd be very interested to hear from other traders on this thread who they would recommend for high-volume trading, upwards of 200 trades per day. I'm looking for a broker that offers direct access and is technically excellent. I'm also looking for a change from RealTick, which hasn't really changed in the past five years. Can anyone recommend some really great trading software with direct execution and broad ECN access, with the capabilities of RealTick and more? WS
