Folks - Lets get filthy sticnking rich. I think this craze is just starting. WE just happened to be in early - I am selling a lot of partial positions wheere I used to sell the whole position before. This si for a couple of reasons1. I have a lot more capital to work with 2. By selling half only I simply lower my ACB on that stock and defer paying tax on that sale until I sell the remaining position. 3. many of these stocks are flying to the moon. Ya see I was so used to mining P&Ds where The stock would fly oin results and come back down as they could not extend the ore body with further results - DML CRN two great examples - and all the suroounding jvs. The media in Canada is just getting on the bandwagon here - The articles are all about the new age - Look through the globe and the NP on saturday. Foir every one of us trading fanatics there are another 50 folks playing the market with Saturday DD and the occasional mid week trade. I can guarentee you that when I go out for a beer with the guys or after hockey - I am completely honest with the giuys that I made little in 98 and 99 but I am the complete center of attanetion - They all want to know what is going on with the stocks 0 what is hot and what is not. I am not even a broker but the interest in enormous. I think we have shift occuring in Canada - This back end of the Baby boomers - 35 year olds and the new generation coming up are willing to take more risks. I see a distinct shift - towards a moire entrepenuerial attitude in everything we do. I could be completely worng and the CDNX could tank but I truly think not. I am taking a bit out as we go but the bulk of my profits are being reinvested in the market - and It seems like you can just place a buy order on something and it goes up. Only the shorts are struggling now
