That is one of the reasons I use the Classic Option. You can't tell whether you have a new message on the New SI unless you file, reply, or delete them as they come in. I often leave a message up until I have time to answer it later. I agree, this would be a good change!

IEarndit, if I understand you correctly. The fix is you can change your customize option settings to uncheck the "use toolbar icon" setting. That brings back the old numerical numbering system. It's under "Customize" "Toolbar".
