Yes, investment and disinvestment are really the correct terms.

It should be noted Canada has gone from 22moz to 1.5moz, a 93% drop. When BOE is done with their auction they will gone from 23moz to about 9moz (715mt to 300mt), almost a 60% drop. One may not like the BOE selling gold, but one must give them credit for full disclosure instead of sneaking it into the market like some countries ;)
