When my puts expire this month I will probably not be around here much. I want to forget that I ever lived in America. Too bad I can't sell my American passport to recover some of my losses.

Steve,

I think that it will be a huge positive step for you if you stop speculating with you hard-earned money. Options are no different that gambling. The sooner one quits, the better. So, congratulations! You had the courage to make the right move. I am, however, sorry to know about your loses and hope that you will be able to recover those. Frankly, I think that for the novice investor mutual funds are a right choice. I personally have a preference for index mutual funds (perhaps QQQ based), as you probably know. JMHO and not meant as investment advice.

Best of luck!
