Wes, I have 2 accounts. Ironically, one with Ameritrash and one with Cybercorp. I never trade using the Ameritrash account. I have some long term holds with them. I position trade allot with Cyber even though, there main focus is geared towards those who close out positions every day. I too, closed out positions everyday to have buying power for the next day. However, I have found that by position trading and finding good stocks to own (IE IRSN,JMAR, and several more I hold) that my buying power continues to increase. Therefore, I'm using Cyber more as a position/longterm account per se than I used to. The only drawback is, Cyber isn't a full service broker (IE they cannot place trades, only cancel them), nor can you trade pennies (something I haven't done in over 6 months.) But, Schwab just bought them out so maybe this will change.

Regarding Ab Watley....I almost chose them over Cyber but, didn't want to pay $48 a round trip ticket for one trade while being a virgin to the ECN trading system. They are a full service broker and offer L2 with their trading platform, which saves the $150 a month for using Mytrash or Q-charts. Drawback with them I hear, they have a very limited short list. This may or may not be true. I have heard this from a few posters here. Also, I believe you can trade pennies with them by calling their brokerage house.

The bottom line is this. If you don't have access to at least one ECN like Island (Datek offers this service) your at the mercy of these crooks like NITE...."The Phantom Market Maker"!

I've been with AB Watley for 3months now. They are usually pretty good, but problems do occur sometimes. Like on Friday, the whole system was down for about 25minutes! I was going insane for those 25mins, lemme tell you! And occasionally they lose the connections to ISLD, selectnet, SOES.. so that can be frustrating to.. Every broker has its problems, just got to find the one with the least!
