Libel and slander are nothing, compared to all the other things the gov't regularly does with impunity to it's citizens.

The court said the plaintiffs were "not so foolish as to label their causes of action as libel or slander claims" since such an appellation would render the government immune from suit.

How foolish that a citizen would actually think they would be protected against government slander and libel. I mean, not only is the government able to do this, but they are good at it, one of the few things they are good at.
