John, Since I own LU as a result of CSCC and ASND, holding a high % was a combination of low price and long term prospects. Given the increased competition for LU and the unlikeliness of a buyout of this company (my reason for holding through the ASND years), reducing exposure only makes sense to me.

John, Don't know what a good rule of thumb is, but for me, in excess of 20% is too much, given current volatility. I do believe in focused investing though (10 - 20 stocks)as opposed to the "diversification" most brokerages would recommend. Also, I'm about 80% in techs.
