The PDQ phone has a palm pilot built in. If Q sells the PDQ they must pay some OS royalty to 3com. I also read recently that 3com and Samsung are working together on switches for CDMA infrastructure. Not sure what other combinations there might be, but Benhamou of 3COM obviously likes the implications of CDMA for Data because the more bandwidth is out there, the more attractive the big screen of the Palm Pilot becomes for mobile internet browsing.

>> guess you didn't hear 3com CEO speak on CNBC last week. He said he is using CDMA for wireless internet on the Palm's.

COMS Eric B is a boob. He probably meant to say that the PDQ
uses Palm OS.

There is no PALM device available that has CDMA built in. That doesn't mean to say that there wont be one in the future. Palm are looking to incorporate 'phone chips to counter expected competition from Quartz in Europe.
