I am looking at the fundamentals, but considering the volatility of the market, it helps to take a look at a chart, note where it consolidated and where gaps are, so that if you're waiting for a pullback you know what to do. If you've never looked at a chart, you must be keeping a ton of #s in your head when you choose strike prices on all these stocks!!!!!

Steve!

I also believe TXN is a great stock. If it would drop more than 5% I would sell puts OTM. Stock ran 8% up last Friday. How can you capitalize on run up like this 8% if you do not own the stock?. My brokerage allows to sell only covered calls.

" Look at the fundamentals, I have never looked at a chart."

fundamentals provide us with the "why" for our investments.
technical analysis, the "when".

you're settling for half a loaf, my friend.
