Warpfactor,

I live in the City. You should see the house prices in SF as well. They have some really nice Victorians in Alameda. A lot of retirees there, and they don't waste gasoline. They drive 5 mph UNDER the speed limit usually <g>.

I have invested mostly in tech stocks (I can hear the howling already), until I bought a bunch of oil stocks (SLB,COC,MRL,XOM) when oil was $11/barrel. I'd like to claim that I had done something really clever, but it just didn't seem logical to me that oil was never going to recover. My broker argued with me for over an hour, but I am pretty stubborn, (he did finally suggest MRL for me though).

Anyway, I didn't really know that much about the industry so I wandered over to this thread and have enjoyed myself immensely, lurking mostly due to my ignorance of this sector. I've certainly encountered a lot of information here, which is the strength of these stock boards really.
