George, the scenario (exit strategy) looks to me like this now..And I do not see an alternative...Next Prez..(Gore or Bush regardless) would negotiate with Russia terms of Milosevic stepping down, in exchange for Serbia (and by Proxy Russia) reasserting control over good portion of Northern Kosovo....By than crimes of the KLA would make it very rational and palatable solution...What Europeans would get stucked with is the Client State, like Bosnia....with no possible exist strategy for many generations to come..

Bush will dissassociate himself from Clinton's fiasco (s) very quickly, Gore more slowly

George,

I think goldsnow's endgame for Kosovo is a good one.
Negotiate with the Russians for Milosevic's ouster.
Then let the Serbs partition Kosovo from the North.
Pull out quietly and let the Euros deal with the rest
of the situation.

Very good goldsnow!
